Holter monitor: – Holter monitor is a device which is use to track cardiac rhythm. This is wearable device doctor suggest to wear for one to two days to record patient heartbeat. Holter monitor device is use when ECG is unable to give enough information about heart condition.
Procedure: – Technician place the electrodes which help to feel the heartbeat on the chest, before placement of electrode chest is clean and excessive hair are remove from the chest for proper placement of electrode. After placing the electrodes technician connect the electrodes to the recording device. Technician gives all dietary and clothing instruction to the patient.
Event Monitor: – Event monitor is a device use for recording of electrical activity of heart.ECG and event monitors are used to diagnosis the problem of heart by using electric signaling. Holter monitor continuously record the heart rhythm and event monitor record when patient start it. Event monitor can be used for one or two month.
