Syrinx disease, also known as syringomyelia, is the formation of a fluid-filled cyst in the spinal cord. Over the course of time, this cyst can grow in size and put unnecessary pressure on your spinal cord thereby damaging it and causing pain, weakness and stiffness. Symptoms include loss in reflexes, muscle stiffness, pain and stiffness in back, arms, and neck, change in spinal curvature, muscle weakness. You should immediately go see a doctor if you experience nay of these. If untreated, this can lead to scoliosis, motor difficulties like trouble in walking or standing for longer duration, or even paralysis.
