Appendicitis: Sign and symptoms

Appendicitis Causes, Sign and symptoms

Appendicitis is a condition when the appendix is inflamed, swollen, or filled with pus.

An appendix is a pouch-like sac tissue on the abdomen’s right side, connected to the first part of the colon (cecum). It is an area for friendly bacteria. The generic name of the appendix is “Vermiform appendix.”

Appendicitis is caused when the infected part blocks off the appendix’s opening due to mucus, stool, or a combination of two, sometimes. If the blockage is severe, then the appendix’s tissue may die and rupture or bust, which needs medical emergencies where surgery is carried out known as appendectomies( removal of the appendix).
