Dr. Abid Iqbal V T completed his MBBS from Calicut Medical College in 2008. He has done post-graduation in General Surgery from Govermernt Medical College, Thrissur and also completed Mch degree (a three year post-doctoral degree in Indian Medical System which is the highest Master’s Degree in surgical field) in Cardiovasular and Thoracic surgery from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology, Trivandrum in the year 2017.

He has published a case report on ‘Submitral Aneurysm after Pulmonary Artery Banding’ in World Journal for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery and his other publications includes ‘Gastric Gangrene Due to a Strangulated Paraesophageal Hernia – A Case report’ and ‘Multicentric Jejunal and Omental GIST with an Unusual Clinical Presentation – A Case Report’.

He had previously worked as a Senior Resident in Cardiac Surgery in the Department of CVTS at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology, Trivandrum and had also worked as Senior Resident in General Surgery at Government Medical College in Thrissur, Junior Resident in General Surgery at Government Medical College in Thrissur, Adhoc Lecturer in Microbiology at Government Medical College in Kozhikode, Casualty Medical Officer at PVS Hospital in Calicut and as National Rural Health Mission Medical Officer at Taluk Hospital in Vythiri. His areas of interest includes Pediatric and congenital heart surgery and Valve repairs.
