Admin_NHT Staff asked 6 years ago Histoplasmosis is infectious disease cause by Histoplasma fungus. Histoplasma fungus is present in the soil where birds and bats are present. Histoplasmosis is spread through the air. The person having fever, cough and fatigue are having high risk for the histoplasmosis. Air gets contaminated after contact with soil and when person breathe it enters into the person body. The person body temperature helps to transform spores into the yeast.
- Symptoms: – fever, cold, headache, muscle pain, dry cough, fatigue, chest abnormalities.
- Complication: – Complication cause by the histoplasmosis may cause death of the patient. The histoplasmosis cause acute respiratory distress syndrome, heart related problems, it may hurt to the adrenal gland and meningitis.
- Treatment: – Preventive aspect shows reduce in the infection. Patient must have to avoid the exposure to the fungus. Wear a respirator mask. Infection diagnosis with the testing lung secretions, blood urine test, lung tissue biopsy, bone marrow. Antifungal drug are helpful to treat histoplasmosis.
