Plexopathy is a complication of radiation therapy. It mostly occurs in brachial plexus. by treating regional cancers of the neck, lung, or breast. Plexopathy may involve peripheral nerve plexuses. Colorectal and gynecological tumors may cause lumbosacral Plexopathy. Malignant Plexopathy is more severe than brachial Plexopathy.
- Symptoms: – malignant Plexopathy shows symptoms like local and radicular pain, weakness, sensory disturbances in plexuses, extremity swelling. Brachial Plexopathy shows symptoms like pain, weakness, numbness, glenohumeral subluxation.
- Treatment: – Heparin and warfarin show the successful results in the brachial Plexopathy.
