Implantable cardioverter defibrillator is small battery device used to for detection of heart beat. Implantable cardioverter defibrillator is placed in the chest; it can deliver electronic shock for the regulation of heart beat.

  • Procedure: – Specialist conduct ECG id any abnormalities found in ECG then he decide placement of implantable cardioverter defibrillator. Before starting procedure specialist suggest avoiding drinking liquids and eating for 8-9hours. Sedative is given to the patient. During surgery flexible leads are inserted to the veins near collarbone. This leads are secured to the heart by using x-ray images for guidance. The other part of leads is connected to the generator, which place under the skin below collarbone.
