Magnetic Resonance imaging is forward imaging technology which helps to obtained three dimension detailed images of anatomical sites. It mostly use for disease diagnosis, treatment and monitoring.

Uses: – MRI is use to see detailed information about muscles, nerves, ligament, tendon. MRI brain helps to differentiate white matter and grey matter. It also helpful in the determination of tumor. It is also helpful in the diagnosis of Aneurysms of cerebral vessels, disorder of eye and inner ear, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord disorders, stroke, tumors, brain injury due to trauma.

Procedure: – Before MRI exam patient have to follow the all instruction given by physician. Physician asks patient to wear hospital gown and remove all metallic accessories and the things which affect to the magnetic imaging. MRI machine is a long narrow tube with open ends. Physician asks to lie down on the table. Procedure is painless. MRI process is conducted within 10-15 minutes. During functional MRI patient may ask to tap the thumb against the figure. This helpful to pinpoint the brain against action.
