Mammography is a breast detection exam in which low dose x-rays are used. Mammography is also known as mammogram. Mammogram is helpful to diagnose the medical condition. Better diagnosis of breast digital mammography, computer-aided detection and breast tomosynthesis. In digital mammogram x-ray film is replaced by electronics. Images taken by digital mammogram is transfer into the computer. Computer aided detection is also known as CAD. CAD is useful for searching abnormalities present in breast. It is best technique for detection of cancer. Breast tomosynthesis is a three dimensional mammography. For tomosynthesis higher dosage of radiation is used.

Procedure: – Patient must have to tell all problems related to breast. Also patient must have to tell about surgeries, hormone use, and family or personal history of breast cancer. Patient must have to avoid use of deodorant, talcum powder or lotion under arm. Mammogram is rectangular box that contained tube which x-ray produces. Specialist will position patient breast mammogram and compressed the breast. Specialist may ask patient to change her position. During tomosynthesis procedure three dimension images are obtained. After completing the procedure patient may ask to wait for images confirmation of images. Mammogram exam is carried out within half hour.
