About Laparoscopy
Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery. It is performed to diagnose the problems in the abdomen or women’s reproductive system. Laparoscopic operation is different and better than “open” surgery. An incision of several inches long is made in the abdomen.
Laparoscopy is suggested to a person who has abdominal cancer or feels a lump in the abdomen. A laparoscope is used for the operation. A long, slender tube inserted into the abdomen by making a small incision. A camera is attached to the tube through which the doctors monitor the internal organs.
