Tenesmus is a rectal pain with cramping. It shows constipation symptoms after doing the bowel movement. Inflammatory bowel disease like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis can cause tenesmus. Ulceration due to inflammation may occur in the GI track which scaring the GI organs.  The low immune system can also cause Tenesmus.

  • Symptoms: – abdominal cramping and pain, blood in stool, vomiting, fever, chills, rectal pain.
  • Treatment: – some diet and lifestyle changes help to improve the pain and cramping. A high fiber diet is helpful to soften the stool. Drinking enough water is also helps to soften the stool. Increase physical exercise helps in the movement of the intestine. Anti-inflammatory drugs help to reduce inflammation. Antibiotics are helpful in killing the bacteria.in intestine.
