Alzheimer’s is a disease associated with loss of memory. The patient suffers from dementia or loss of memory along with changes in behavior and thinking. The symptoms are progressive in nature getting worse over time, making it difficult to perform daily activities. Alzheimer’s is not a part of aging but older people are at higher risk of developing this condition. Around 90% of people suffering from Alzheimer’s are above 65 years.

There is no cure for this disease, and it is estimated that a person survives around 4-8 years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, however, cases face been recorded where people survive up to 20 years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s depending upon certain circumstances.
