About Laparoscopy
Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery used for diagnosing problems in the abdomen or women’s reproductive system. Laparoscopic operation is different and better than “open” surgery. It is done by making an incision of several inches long in the abdomen—laparoscopic Surgery for detecting the causes of pain.
Laparoscopy can be suggested to a person who has abdominal cancer or feels a lump in the abdomen. It is also suggested if a patient has severe chronic pain in the pelvis or the abdomen.
A laparoscope is used for the operation. A long, slender tube inserted into the abdomen by making a small incision. A camera is attached to the tube through which the doctors monitor the internal organs.
